Psalm 37
Psalm 37: 9 - 12

"For evildoers shall be cut off, But those who wait on the LORD,
They shall inherit the earth."

"For yet a little while and the wicked shall be no more; Indeed you will look carefully for
his place, But it shall be no more."

"But the meek shall inherit the earth,  And shall delight themselves in the abundance of
peace."

"The wicked plots against the just, And gnashes at him with his teeth."

These four verses emphasize the fruitlessness of living a life away from the LORD.  The
evildoers or wicked are the sinners who refuse to accept Jesus as LORD and Savior.  Without Jesus there is no salvation and no hope.  These verses say they will be cut off, they will be no more, and even what they have accomplished or built will be gone.

On the other hand, those who do accept the LORD shall inherit the earth and delight in the
abundance of peace.  We can have peace because we have assurance of the LORD's promises.  Praise God!  He is always faithful and will fulfill all that He said!
