Psalm 37
Psalm 37:18

"The LORD knows the days of the upright
And their inheritance shall be forever."

Knows = yada = to know , observes, be familiar with
Days = yom = day, season, life
Upright = tamiym = entire, whole, complete
Inheritance = nachalah = heirloom, estate, portion
Forever = alam = concealed, time out of mind, eternity

The LORD is familiar with all that we do.  We belong to Him and He is ever with us.
He knows everything that happens to us, our good days and bad.  He knows what service we have done and He knows what suffering we have endured.  We will be rewarded for all our good works.

We are the upright.  We are those who have been made whole or complete in Him.  We are joint-heirs with Christ. (Rom.8:17)  Just as a son inherits from his father, we will receive our portion of our father's estate.  The riches we receive will last through all eternity.

This is not an earthly inheritance.  Our Father's estate is Heaven.  His treasure is in Heaven.  Picture the biggest, most beautiful estate you can think of.  I'm thinking of Biltmore House with it's dozens of rooms of fine furnishings and acres of beautiful gardens.  It is nothing compared to Heaven with its jeweled walls, gates of pearl and streets of gold.  There is a river that is clear as crystal and trees that bear fruit all year.  We will dine at fabulous feasts at the LORD's table.  We will spend eternity in God's presence in this beautiful city.  We will wear glorious clothing and be given crowns.  The weather will be perfect all the time.  We will never be bored.  There will be no death, no sadness, no pain and God Himself will be with us and we will be with Him forevermore.

May the LORD bless you real good!
