Psalm
37:14 - 15
"The wicked have drawn the sword
and have bent their bow,
To cast down the poor and needy, To slay those that are of upright
conduct."
"Their sword shall enter their own heart, and their bows shall be
broken."
These verses continue the theme of the wicked trying to persecute the
righteous.
The wicked who are strong pick on the weak. They are nothing
but bullies. The ones
who have become rich through lying and cheating become full of pride
over what "I" have
done. They flaunt their money and possessions and look down
on those who are poor in
worldly riches. Those who have risen to power through evil
schemes, then use that power
to encourage ungodliness and punish goodness.
But God will not allow this to go on for long. (I love the
words "but God". Sometime do a
study on verses that include the phrase "but God" and it will amaze
you.)
In Isaiah 54:17 the LORD declares that no weapon formed against you
will prevail.(NIV)
The LORD will see that His children will be given all the grace they
need to withstand the
attacks of the wicked. And not only that but we shall have
victory as the LORD fights our
battle and delivers us. He will cause the wicked to destroy
themselves. We may be cheated or pushed around or worse but
never lose faith in God. He is faithful and will never leave
us or forsake us!
May the LORD bless you real good!
